SIGNS TO LOOK FOR
  • Anxiety getting ready for school

  • Crying

  • Complaints of stomachs

  • Motor skill markers:

    • Trouble coloring

    • Holding a pencil

    • Using scissors

  • Behavioral inconsistencies followed by obvious frustration

  • Fear of Failure

GRADES 3-5
  • Increased behavioral issues

  • Poor behavior in the classroom

  • Inattentiveness  and distracted

  • Some hyperactivity could be displayed due to anxiety

  • Disengagement and disconnection with the teacher, classmates, and activities

GRADES 5-8
  • Poor time management skills

  • Clear signs of low self esteem

  • A non starter due to fear
    of failure

  • Strong dislike for school

  • Strong language based challenges: Reading, writing
    poor sentence & syntax structure, foreign language struggles 
    Note: Foreign languages are commonly difficult for students with reading disabilities.
